You can participate with any Windsurfer LT class equipment approved by the multibrand.
To remain competitive, we strongly recommend that you equip your equipment with the unofficial Defi Wind 5.0 sail (compatible with the same mast and boom as the official 5.7 sail) and a 30 cm G10 fin. These free items are legal and compatible with all Windsurfer LT equipment.
#2 Charter Pack option (limited availability)
A total of 30 ready-to-run charter packs are available, including:
5.7 m² and 5.0 m² sails.
An additional 30cm G10 fin.
Rental cost: €250 (+ €150 refundable deposit).
#3 Option to purchase equipment after the event
After the event, participants can purchase their charter equipment from €3,280 for €2,460 (-25% discount).

I used to say that there are two things to do in the life of a windsurfer: go to Hawaii and do the Defi Wind !
This competition is my favorite of the season because of its unusual nature and the conviviality between windsurfers. It really is a windsurfing party! Your first start in the midst of over 1,000 excited windsurfers will remain etched in your memory.
It’s up to you to define your objective, which can range from achieving the best possible place, to finishing a round, or simply enjoying taking part. Preparation is vital for this very specific event. In this clinic, I’ll be bringing you all my experience of the Gruissan spot and its pitfalls to avoid.

The concept is simple: for several years now, we’ve been organizing days or coaching sessions over several days dedicated to women. The idea is not to deprive the men of valuable advice, but rather to enable the girls to exchange and progress together in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. These days can also be complemented by a yoga class or an aperitif dinner, as you wish!

With your personal coach, a professional windsurfer, you’ll prepare for and take part in the world’s biggest long-distance windsurfing race in Gruissan, France, from May 26 to June 1, 2025.
